Anymaker Needs a Little More to Make

Anymaker has entered Early Access with the beginnings of a game I enjoyed, but also one that very clearly feels like it has only just begun. What’s here already provides a solid foundation. The problem is simply that it needs more of it: more content, more items and more reasons to keep digging into its systems. There are also plenty of smaller tweaks and quality-of-life improvements that could make the experience smoother. None of that soured me on the game; it mostly reinforced that this is exactly what Early Access is for. I enjoy the idea of making your vehicles from pieces and don’t mind the survival side being a big part. Give me the full survival mechanics though. If I need water, let me craft things to have fresh water, not just looking for bottles. ...

Dungeon Settlers Needs More Settling

Dungeon Settlers promises a combination that should be an easy sell: colony builder plus dungeon crawler. After a full seven-hour stream, however, it currently feels much more like the latter. The settlement side was surprisingly basic in the scenario played. With the colony safely isolated on an island like landmass, there was little concern about defending or securing it. The only reason to develop it at all was the requirement of work benches to be inside. Dungeon expeditions provide resources needed for survival, construction, and research, making them the real engine driving the game forward. ...

Airport Manager Simulator 2026 Misplaces the Manager

Airport Manager Simulator 2026 promises airport management, but its Early Access debut seems to have misplaced the manager. Instead, you become what appears to be the airport’s only ground crew employee. Taxi the aircraft into position. Bring over the stairs. Place the cones. Unload the baggage. Repeat. Occasionally, excitement arrives in the form of fueling the plane or some other new task that takes a couple minutes. New scenarios offered minor variations, but mostly repeated the same tasks without having much progression. Whatever deeper game may eventually be planned simply isn’t here yet. ...
