Deep Fringe emerged to the surface from early access airlocks with a solid and promising combat loop. The bones are there — turn-based combat with it’s own unique focus on using, and manipulating, the terrain around you. The feeling of being overwhelmed and your tactical choices keeping you going. A fun combat loop.
Also is an RPG like system with upgrading your units at base with new weapons and other items. Unfortunately, several systems remain unfinished or rough around the edges. Balance wavers later on it seems. It definitely needs more time cooking.
While not deceased, Deep Fringe is not yet ready for a bunch of play time.
