Prospice: Anomalous Logistics makes an intriguing first impression by answering a question no game has once asked: what if SnowRunner wandered into a horror story?
Set on a mysterious island filled with unsettling sights and unexplained phenomena, the game blends off-road driving with a persistent feeling that something unexplained is out there watching. While the terrain and vehicle physics don’t attempt to match the complexity of larger driving simulations, they are more than capable of supporting the atmosphere the developers are building.
The public playtest offered more content than expected, providing a series of short logistics missions that gradually introduced the world and its strange personality. The pacing was mostly relaxed, allowing players to learn the mechanics without overwhelming them.
Then the finale arrived.
What began as another routine assignment unexpectedly shifted into an on-foot expedition through an underground facility before turning into a frantic nighttime escape. Racing back toward the safety of the base while something unseen, but heard and felt, pursued through the darkness created the strongest moment of the playtest and hinted at the kind of tension the full game may eventually deliver.
There is still a long road ahead before release, but the foundation is promising. The eerie visual effects, distorted atmosphere, and restrained use of horror create a distinctive identity that separates Prospice from traditional driving games. The atmosphere is done so well that one thing the game could benefit from is something, or some place, to kighten the mood occasionaly.
For now, however, the journey must pause until development continues.
Prospice: Anomalous Logistics is therefore recorded as Cryostasis.
Something is still waiting in the fog.
Pronouncement: Placed into cryostasis.
