Foundation Reaps the Rewards of a Return

Foundation returned to the stream today with its first expansion, Harvest Festival, and after a long absence it was good to return to the cozy game.

I hadn’t played in so long that I’d even missed the game’s 1.0 release. There’s clearly been plenty of refinement since my last visit, and getting back into building a medieval settlement was a good time.

Harvest Festival also seems like a strong first expansion. It seems to do well to bring additions to the games content from start to end, including cabbage farming early on, while providing a new endgame goal to work toward, and much more in between.

Two Point Museum Adds Another Attraction

Two Point Museum reopened its doors for the Rides & Relics DLC, and after some time away, it was good to be back.

The DLC does a nice job of mixing up the museum formula with attractions that don’t necessarily belong in a traditional museum. That’s becoming one of the game’s strengths, and it may make Museum the best of the Two Point games when it comes to DLCs.

The roller coaster construction was a surprise. Rather than simply placing down a completed ride, you actually get to design the track yourself, adding more depth than I expected.
