Space Warlord Baby Trading Simulator is the follow-up to Space Warlord Organ Trading Simulator and set in the same universe. It’s not a direct continuation though and the formula is a bit different, in a good way.

The game leans heavily on a core game mechanic of selecting a baby and then buying & selling stock in that baby as it’s life is quickly simulated and you watch their value rise and fall depending on various events. Hiring experts to give you clues about a baby’s life brings in your ability to predict things. There are a lot of modifiers along the way and good fun seeing how the lives play out, no matter if dull or adventerous.

On stream, the game seemed to be interesting and different in the short burst we played it. There’s something fun about an outlandish setting and focus like trading stocks on a baby and the pay off is fast as each round you spend in the market takes only a couple minutes. The excitement or heartbreak of the results help too.

That said, while it works well in shorter sessions, it may not translate into long, multi-hour streams without losing momentum. The tension that makes it interesting can become repetitive when stretched too far.

As a focused experience, it holds up. As a marathon stream centerpiece, it may struggle.

Pronouncement: Dead.
