Feastopia presents itself as a well-structured management experience with it’s own unique twist of being food-centric. Everything is well themed and they give you an overall goal fromt he start, taking care of your deity/monster thing called a Dango.

During stream we hit up all the basics of getting buildings placed, homes built and production started on various goods. This game will click with a lot of people in it’s vibe and pace.

However, the production chain structure never quite clicked with me. Movement of goods was slow and you just didn’t have the control I would like over how much is moved to where and how much is produced. The systems functioned, but they didn’t create the pull that makes extended sessions feel something that would be enjoyable.

There’s a difference between a game being well made and a game being compelling for a specific stream environment. Feastopia falls into the former category.

Others may find depth and satisfaction in its systems. For this filing, the record concludes here.
