The Artisan of Glimmith offers a quieter experience, centered around the careful painting of stained glass designs. Each puzzle represents a piece of a window to be completed under a shifting set of rules, sometimes requiring patience and a willingness to rethink each placement or choice of a shape.
What begins as a simple exercise gradually develops into something more layered. New constraints and mechanics are introduced over time, keeping the puzzles engaging and occasionally challenging.
The overall tone is calm and methodical, making it a refreshing change of pace. At the same time, certain puzzles provided just enough resistance to create moments of struggle — much to the enjoyment of those watching the stream — followed by the satisfaction of finding the correct solution. Sometimes even finding a puzzle on the map was a bit of a puzzle to be solved.
Despite its strengths, the format ultimately limits its lifespan on stream. Puzzle-solving of this nature works best in shorter sessions. This was a sponsored game on stream, which we gladly went over the sponsored time with little notice. The game was engaging.
The game is therefore recorded as Dead for broadcast purposes.
The windows are complete. The tools are set down. But some off-stream puzzle solving will probably happen.
Pronouncement: Dead, but in a good way.
